About The Attorney

Ben D. Manevitz regularly counsels businesses and individuals in all aspects of intellectual property law, with particularly broad experience in trademark clearance and prosecution, domain-name dispute resolution, and licensing agreements.  Ben also has extensive experience with copyright acquisition and enforcement, trademark enforcement and defense, and trade secret protection.  Ben's primary practice focuses on representing mid-range businesses and emerging companies and individuals in the full gamut of intellectual property matters.

Before becoming a lawyer, Ben was involved in the fashion industry, where copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets are the lifeblood of the business. It would not be farfetched to say that Mr. Manevitz grew up in the fashion industry, his father is the well-known fashion designer Isaac Manevitz, and his parents together have owned and run Ben-Amun Co., Inc. for more than 30 years; Ben's exposure to IP law began before he even knew that it was called IP law.

Prior to forming the Manevitz Law Firm LLC, Ben was associated with some of the foremost intellectual property firms in the nation, including Pennie and Edmonds and Fross Zelnick, and worked for and with some of the leading minds in the field.

Mr. Manevitz received his J.D. cum laude, Order of the Coif, from the University of Pennsylvania and more recently he received an LL.M. (Distinguished Performance) in Intellectual Property from Cardozo.

Mr. Manevitz is admitted to the bar in New York, New Jersey, the Southern and Eastern federal districts of New York, and the federal district of New Jersey. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association, with Intellectual Property section memberships in both organizations.
